Central Asia

At the Faculty of Arts, Charles University, a number of researchers and workplaces work in various areas of Central Asia, from Mongolia to Tibet to Uzbekistan. In addition to the Institute of Asian Studies, with specialists in Mongolian, Tibetan, Yakutian, Sibe and other languages, it is also the Department of the Middle East, where specialists specialize in some Iranian and Turkish languages ​​of Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Researchers from the Institute of Classical Archeology of the Faculty of Arts, Charles University are engaged in archaeological research in the area of ​​Uzbekistan. Of the ISSR research teams, the Cold War Research Group is primarily concerned with this area.
